30 for 30: Pistons

 Hello once again athletes!!!

It’s that time once again! 30 for 30 is still rolling along very well, and this time, we have the Detroit Pistons, as requested by Landen220. Remember you can always suggest which team I should do next just by leaving a comment below! Let’s do this like Nike!

 Missed playoffs

PPG: 94.9 (27th) RPG: 42.1 (13th) APG: 21.2 (22nd) PA: 98.8 (18th)

—-Players lost in offseason—-

  • Jason Maxiell (Free agency)
  • Corey Maggette (Free agency)

—-Players acquired in offseason—-

  • Josh Smith (Free agency)
  • Luigi Datome (Free agency)
  • Chauncey Billups (Free agency)
  • Will Bynum (Re-signed)
  • Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Draft)
  • Viacheslav Kravtsov (Draft)
  • Toney Mitchell (Draft)
  • Peyton Siva (Draft)

Before I start, spell check on Viacheslav Kravtsov, please? The Pistons have had a really good offseason to this point. Getting the first or second best PF (Can make a case for Millsap) in J-Smoove helps and hinders them. I don’t think he wants to play SF and guard the best players in the league (Durant, James, etc.). He didn’t go there for the situation, just strictly for the money. He will take minutes from Drummond most likely, which isn’t good for his development. They picked up the Italian League MVP in Luigi Datome to help out. Also, bringing back Billups (most likely for him to retire a Piston) helps Brandon Knight and Caldwell-Pope because they can learn a lot from them. I think they will post a solid record and be in the playoffs.

Record- 44-38, 7th in East

Lineup- Knight, Caldwell-Pope, Smith, Drummond/Monroe (Interchangable)

That’s it for now athletes. Remember to check the blog every single day, and read all of the amazing posts by the Reporters.
